International Cinema Society is a
society of awards winning filmmakers who care about cinema and the
industry. One of the main activities of the Festival is to conduct
film festival focusing on award-winning filmmakers, without
eliminating the chance for the newcomers in the cinema industry.
The Festival is a yearly Awards
Festival, and it is calling for all winners in the film industry.
MISSION
The mission of the Festival is to
give international recognition for filmmakers who have been
dedicating their lives for the film industry and has won numerous
awards in his/her career life.
We hope that with the Festival
recognition, they could become more inspirational for the global
community, especially for film lovers, and to supplement prestigious
value to the film industry worldwide.

Do you know a filmmaker who
deserves an international recognition? You can submit yourself or
any person (who is still alive or who has already passed away).
We receive submissions from all
over the world and waiting for your winning films and documentaries.

These three above categories are
open for films that have previously received recognition. The
Festival also accept the first-time filmmaker with an extraordinary
winning list from other Film Festival.
Newcomers are encouraged to enter
into the Emerging Filmmaker category.
Winners from these three above
categories will receive a well-framed certificate of acknowledgment,
special pin, and handmade sash if they attend the Awards Ceremony in
person. Award recipient who can’t attend the Awards Ceremony will
receive e-certificate after the Festival Event (latest one month
after the Event).
4. Lifetime Achievement Award
This Award Category opens only
for a filmmaker with an excellent reputation in the film industry,
or with at least having a regional reputation, or a seasoned or
well-known filmmaker with a minimum of 7 years experience in the
film industry or film education. The winner of this category will
receive a special trophy, pin, and handmade sash if they attend the
Awards Ceremony in person.
CV and other supporting
documentation or related information like photos, clipping, or other
films title (from the same filmmaker) are strongly suggested for
this category.
Lifetime Achievement Award winner will receive a
trophy of acknowledgment, special pin, and
handmade sash if they attend the Awards Ceremony in person. Award recipient who can’t attend the Awards Ceremony will
receive e-certificate after the Festival Event (latest one month
after the Event).

- You can nominate yourself, or
people you know, living or dead.
- Send your or his/her winning
list and registration, as well as your name and your relation to the
person to our email: internationalcinemasociety@gmail.com
- Submission with film or
documentary is required, including for the general category that is
open the filmmaker him or herself.
- We accept lifetime film or
documentary and from any genre.
- For Lifetime Achievement Awards
submitter, CV and other supporting documentation or related
information like photos, clipping, or other films title (from the
same filmmaker) are strongly suggested.
SUBMISSION CATEGORIES:
- Films submitted could be
from any genre and do not have any premiere requirement.
- Non-English speaking
film/documentary should be translated in English or dubbed.
- General
The submitter may submit him or
herself or another filmmaker he/she knows. Submission for this
category is for the filmmaker in his/her leading reputation
(director, producer, artist, special effect artist, writer, film
musician, etc.). Submission must be completed with his or her
film/documentary.
- Short Documentary
A documentary film with a maximum
length of 49 minutes.
- Documentary Feature
A documentary with a minimum
runtime of 50 minutes.
- International Feature film
A narrative feature film with
duration > 50 minutes.
- International Short film
A short narrative film with film
duration <50 minutes.
- Emerging Filmmaker
This category opens for newcomer
or students who have won awards for his or her first film.
Submission must be completed with his or her film/documentary.

Please read this below TERMS &
CONDITIONS carefully before you submit.
This agreement pertains to all
Film/s submitted to International Cinema Society (the Festival).
By submitting one or more Films
to International Cinema Society through our site or our appointed
partner’s site, you signify your agreement in full to these terms
and conditions. If you do not agree to any of these terms, please do
not submit a Film.
FILMS SUBMITTED
1. The submitter guarantees that
all materials submitted to the Festival have been legally secured,
including music rights, songs, etc. The submitter releases the
Festival and its entire member from any legal action whatsoever.
2. To be qualified for preview
and judging purposes, films must be submitted via online screener or
post. We also accept Vimeo, Youtube, and other online screeners. The
Festival may require physical screener for judging.
3. All submissions should be sent
pre-paid. For films sent by post, all transportation and shipping
costs (including customs clearance) to Jakarta, plus fees for
insurance while in transit, must be borne by the participants
(please write: For Cultural Purposes only - Not for commercial use).
The Festival Director reserves the right to refuse any shipment
involving unpaid costs.
4. All submission fees are
non-refundable.
5. Submitters can submit
themselves, or people you know, living or dead. CV and other
supporting documentation or related information like photos,
clipping, or films are suggested. Juries may also search information
from other sources once we accept the submission. Juries may also

FESTIVAL'S RIGHT
6. The festival has the right to
disqualify a winning film or filmmakers for any reasons, without
having to explain the reasons to the submitter or filmmakers.
7. Submission of an entry gives
the festival permission to have accepted work exhibited,
photographed, locally telecast, and reproduced either in part or
whole, for educational or publicity purposes. Filmmakers can request
in writing that their material should not be used for such purposes
after the Festival.
8. Although we may attempt to
notify you when major changes are made to these Terms & Condition,
submitter/filmmaker should periodically review the most up-to-date
version on this page. The Festival may, in its sole discretion,
modify or revise these Terms & Condition and policies at any time,
and that submitter/filmmaker agree to be bound by such modifications
or revisions. Nothing in these Terms & Condition shall be deemed to
confer any third-party rights or benefits.
9. The festival has the right to
work with any institution and partner festivals for all kind of
cooperation, including joint events or promotions.
10. The Festival reserves the
right to make any necessary changes in regulations or scheduling.
11. The Festival appointed a
panel of experienced filmmakers as the jury. All selection
committees' and juries' decisions are finals.
FILM SCREENING & AWARDS CEREMONY
12. The Festival does not pay any
screening fees. Not all winning films will be screened. The festival
has the full right to select the winning films to be screened. The
Festival may deny participation to any film unable to meet the
technical requirements for a public screening of good quality.
13. Regardless of the Prize and
the winning status, winning filmmakers who can't attend the Awards
Ceremony, will only receive laurels.
GENERAL REQUIREMENT &
SPECIFICATION
14. All filmmakers/submitters are
expected to keep communications with the Festival professional and
in good taste. Failure to do so may result in disqualification at
any point in the adjudication process, including the nullification
of Official Selection status or nominations. That stated, the
Festival will only communicate with the person who submitted his/her
film to the festival, and that Festival should not be expected to
communicate with any other persons.
15. All disputes in respect of
any matter relating to the International Cinema Society shall be
subjected to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in
North Jakarta. Any dispute arising as a result of submission to the
Festival will have a recourse limited to the lesser of either a
refund of the submission fee paid or the cost of correcting the
issue.
By submitting
to our Festival, submitters/filmmakers:
- indicate that they have read,
understand, agree with, and will comply all of the Terms and
Condition above, and accept all of the terms and conditions herein,
in their entirety, without modification.
- agree to indemnify us and hold
us and our employees, owners, affiliates, and partners harmless from
all claims and liability associated with your participation or entry
to the Festival.
